If you remember to follow your passion, you would be naturally guided to contentment. The feeling of satisfaction that comes from giving yourself satisfaction in a field of service is a most joyful experience. Imagine what it would be like not to be distracted from your goal in life.

Can you imagine how beautiful your life would be if you weren’t bothered by whether your hair looks good in a certain way or not, or whether your family loves you enough or not enough–most people are so preoccupied with these thoughts that they miss out on what is going on with their hearts. You have a goal. Set forth a plan to achieve it. Be disciplined in your actions and words, and you will find that what may have taken a year or more before will all fit into Frances de Sales’s (1647-1721) five disciplines of spiritual life.

De Sales believed what Jesus Christ said in the scripture, “These things I have spoken unto you, that in Me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world” (John 16:33). The steps are clear. Humanity has to gain peace and enjoy the process. The path to peace is not easy. Mankind has allowed himself to be moved to many different and contradictory points of view. He has been overly-focused on his abilities instead of the attribute(s) that give him peace.

In the quote above, Jesus refers to our abilities. But remember, He says, “In Me ye might have peace.” This does not refer to the ability of humans to obtain peace. This is the attribute He is talking about. Although humans and even super-human beings can obtain this peace, it is an attribute that is found only in the indwelling Christ. Human beings cannot enter into this peace and stay; this why we have the word “peace” in the scriptures.

Not peace: for mankind is in a conflict state. His mind is being moved to peace by the peace-giving attributes of the indwelling Christ and, in response, man has to push the peace-bringing attributes of the indwelling Christ even stronger toward him. This is like when a kid comes into the presence of a parental authority and rejects the authority.

Such a kid is moved to emotional reunification because the authoritative parent puts safety mechanisms in place to keep the kid under control. By doing this, the parent gives the kid permission to disobey the authority. The spiritually curious, however, do not rejecting the authority but to incorperate such authority by applying their own mind to God’s laws. This puts the spiritual initiate into a defensive mode, though a state of mind of peace.

Mind keeps to peace, but out of it arises other forces of power. Peace is the one power, though the spirit prompts the other forces of power. The peace that is of Christ works marvelous and irrefutable influence upon all those things that are moved and corrupted by the spirit of this peace. This includes natural things as well as the supernatural.

This peace does not make one wealthy or endowed with money, it makes one rich in the best riches. This peace protects the individual and family from the wrath of the world. From the business world to the entertainment industry, medicine, law, science and health, individuals are protected from all forces that arguably could have destroyed them. However, the full armor of God does not keep one from being corrupted by the influences of the lust of the world system. Do we need to elaborate more on this subject?

Living for Christ gives great power to the believer and their influence over the environment around them. When Christians realize their God given authority and cooperate with the fivefold ministry they partake of, they have the peace that even Satan has to submit to their full authority.

This includes the full set of supernatural blessings, which includes eagle vision, prophecy, sift and truth, for wisdom and fair warning, favor and oppression. Ephesians 6:11-12, Romans 1:6-8 prosperity and long life. Furthermore, God empowered Jesus to be the head overall. Therefore, submit your works to the Lord. Atonement is possible. Christ did not stay obedient to the devil, therefore, you cannot go ahead and transgress even the spirit of God.

Conclusion

Not much purpose remains for the human race. Even though according to the bible, there is the hope of glory (i.e. victory), for the Christian believer, these waiting years are enormous. The mystery of Christ explain why the bible says that man shall die one day and that is why every human being shall die one day. The question still remains on the agenda of the believer. Nevertheless, he must not turn his back to the right or to the left.
