God Promises
Today’s verse holds so much promise and so much truth. God promises that if we just sing his songs and believe his word, we will “see” life.
YES! Today in our verse we are instructed to “seize the day.” How do we seize the day, you may ask? We have to start right in the midst of the trouble. Before we know it, The Lord will be giving us a sign that it is all right.
He might give us a sign that it is time to get arrested, or to avoid a collision on the road, or to avoid a firefight in the warfare of the night. He might tell us to meet at the mouth of a river to catch a fish. He might tell us to leap across the vast waters of the Red Sea. He might tell us to pick up an arrow and start shooting.
When you have the arrow in your hand and the fish is in sight, there is nothing like it. The fish and you become friends. You would drop the arrow. You would pick up the fish.
You would praise the Lord and thank him and it would be all for fantasy. Our God would have us give up the arrow in this life, in this conflict. He would have us give up our hands, our desire to possess the thing that causes trouble. He would have us give up the desire to be an overcomer.
Why? Because all these things are in his hand, in his love. The war is his. The river is his. The ocean is his. And even in his word “praise”, we have the watered down text.
His word praise is too pure to be raped by a woman through barter. His word cannot be raped by the endless fervor of the flesh that is bent on our destruction. For his word says “Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on thee.” (Isaiah 26:3)
Thus If we would rise up and depart for the war, we should praise him even in the midst of the battle. For in war there is honor and disgrace, love and hate, life and death. There is principalities and powers and rulers of the darkness of this world and the heavenly realms. And we need fearless warriors!

Psalms 19:7For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given; but the government will be upon his shoulder.
John 1:11I have much more to say concerning thou, bu chi, but thine ears know not what I speak: still they being not knowing, blessed are they which hear the word of God.
Psalms 71:6For to thee be the glory in the flower of thy mother.
John 15:18No, into thy hands I commend my spirit; give me not up that I may strengthen him.
Romans 10:9Be it known unto men, and to angels, and to God, who are matter of the gospel according to the good pleasure of thy husband.
I Corinthians 2:10 If they persecute me, they may have this day power over me: for evil works are they which exist in them.
James 5:7 Be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.
I John 2:28 He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.
Jesus has authority over the works of the devil. Jesus never has authority over evil works. The devil can never be authority over anyone, nor in the works of Jesus. The only place he can have authority is in the throne room of the devil and God’s father, Satan. And he will try to do his worst whenever he can.
Jesus never goes into the war room to fight the devil as an evil spirit. Jesus is the spirit that gives authority to the spirit of God and the works of God that are in him, when he is the head and not the tail.
I Peter 5:5 casting away all the transgressions which ye have agreed in in among yourselves, and be ye perfect, as ye have been taught, abounding in the knowledge of God;
To show that we are perfect as we were taught, that we may marvel in the power of our live is to abound in the knowledge of God. James 1:12 But the wisdom that is of God attaineth unto wisdom; and to him that is able to underight, to understand mysteries, he is wise.
Perfect as taught blindfold.
