When you are in pain, does God seem far away or close at hand? Does He seem distant or near?
The Bible says that God is always near us, even when we don’t see Him.
In times of trouble, we can turn to His Word for comfort and strength.
God wants to be our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.
Psalm 46:1 says, “Be still, and know that I am God.”
If we take time to pray, read Scripture and spend quiet time with God, He will give us peace and strength.
In the midst of your pain, remember these words from Isaiah 41:10-11 (NIV):
“Don’t fear, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by name; you are mine….I am the LORD, who makes all things new.”
When you feel like giving up on life, think about how much God loves you.
It’s easy to get discouraged when you’re going through hard times, but it’s important to keep looking to God for answers.
“For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord” Romans 8:38-39

What Bible Verse You Should Read When You’re In Pain?
There are many ways to answer this question.
The best way would be to look at other passages of scripture that address pain and suffering.
This should provide some direction for those struggling with their own pain and suffering.
It seems as though some people have the idea that there are no real problems in heaven.
This is not true.
Our heavenly home has its challenges just as earth does.
We must learn to accept them. This is why Paul said he was willing to go to prison for Christ.
Hebrews 12:2-3 – “And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.”
John 16:33-34 – “These things I have spoken to you so that my joy may be in you, and that your joy may be complete….
My prayer is not that you take them out of the world, but that you protect them from the evil one.
They are not ready for destruction yet; they are still being kept safe until the Day of Judgment, when everything gets put into place.
At that time God will set right what man has done wrong.”
If you really want to find answers to questions regarding pain and suffering, I suggest reading the book of Job.
Job 1:12 – “My ears had heard of you, but I did not understand what your lips were saying.”
Job 42:7 – “Though he slay me, yet will I trust him.”
In 1 Peter 4:13-19, St. Peter gives a list of “great” examples of Christians who suffered great trials and persecutions.
He says that we should imitate them because they showed us how to live holy lives despite earthly troubles.
We also need to realize that while it hurts to suffer, it is sometimes necessary to endure pain.
There is nothing worse than enduring something that causes intense physical pain without receiving an eternal reward.
To suffer without having earned salvation is painful indeed.
We can gain strength by thinking about the goodness of God which is shown in his willingness to allow pain and suffering.
We need to remind ourselves that while there is pain and suffering, it is temporary. In eternity, there will be no more pain or suffering.
We must cling to this truth during tough times.
